Linea Coombsville Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Very enjoyable Sauvignon Blanc. Bright acidity and candied pineapple. It would be perfect for the warm summer days ahead. — 3 months ago

Rompecabezas Amador Syrah Blend 2009

2009. We really enjoyed this wine tonight! Mild black pepper, leather, meat, and earth from the Syrah and Mourvèdre, but I loved the red fruits from the Grenache. Great with a grilled ribeye and mushrooms. — a month ago

Quarzo Amador Syrah 2010

Very smooth on the palette yet complex on the taste buds. Hints of chocolate, dark berries and nutmeg throughout the drinking experience. Definitely a good drinking wine. — 6 months ago

Au Paradis Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Okay, one big note for all 7 of the terrific Xmas eve and Xmas wines. Started off with the cab/cab franc blends. Peter Michael Au Paradise ‘12 at 93 pts. The splendid Favia Cerro Sur ‘07 at 95 pts. Xmas eve traditional dinner of Meatballs and penne at 98 pts beat the Luigi Einaudi barolo mag ‘10 at 92 pts. Early Xmas day drinking started with a solid ‘16 VASO sauv blanc at 93 pts. Traditional Turkey dinner was accented by my first 100 pts post on Vinous : ‘15 Peter Michael Point Rouge Chard. Into the bad ass cabs. ‘07 Chappellet Pritchard Hill at 96 pts and ‘05 Shafer Hillside Select at 99 pts. What a holiday drinking lineup to toast a shit 2020. — 7 months ago
