La Magdalena Napa Valley Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Very fragrant, very floral. Ripe blue and black fruit, lovely silky texture. Hints of mint, baking spices, leather, pipe tobacco. Absolutely gorgeous wine, drinking perfectly now. — 2 months ago

Amazing how the 2011’s are great now but unheralded upon release

Lovely. Deserved its 91 point rating. Dry, rich, complex. Certainly buy again — 2 years ago

Limited 23 Barrels Magdalena Toso Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon

At first big tannins with notes of dark fruits and earthy minerals. Then mellowed into a fruit forward punch with silky mouth feel that held up for hours. — 2 years ago

Magdalena Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2020

Raspberry and big cherry with some black pepper. The tannins have smoothed and it’s just lovely. — 4 months ago

So lovely!
Very intense taste: special with seasoned cheeses.

Elda Rosso Schiava

A less perfumed vintage than the 200X I remember. Massively floral nose, Sta. Magdalena (Vernatsch) is drunk too rarely. Glorious food wine. — 2 years ago

Pfannenstielhof - Johannes Pfeifer

Der Pfannenstiel St. Magdalener Classico Vernatsch Lagrein

Great to drink Santa Magdalena again though had hoped for more. Very foresty nose, powerful palate with light flavor intensity (so more power from structure and texture). Fascinating and improved hugely with 2-3 hours air. Probably best with good charcuterie rather than the red meat we fed it. This was a RED wine. — 2 years ago
