My 4th time trying the 14 vintage of Trevallon. It’s exceptional and among the very best bottles of wine i’ve ever had. Nose has some high toned flowers, cigar, earth, and a funky barnyard note that goes away with some air. Gave it a 2 hour decant. This wine is powerful and mystical. Just when you think it’s too raw and young, there’s finesse and elegance. So much going on and a really long finish. A treat to drink and can’t wait to see how it evolves. Medium garnet with a light edge. Served a little cold but an excellent wine. Light nose of medium dark fruit and some earth. Medium plus acidity and mild tannins. A find! — 4 months ago
