Lemon pith, white flower, dandelion, a bit herbal. Crisp finish. — a month ago
Jane and Marc both liked it. It may be a little bit sweeter and more acidic than A typical Pinot. We both would drink it again. We had the 2017 vintage. From coop. — 13 days ago

fresh as a daisy still 9 years later. — 3 months ago
High tone nose with a touch of va/ acetone. Translucent and almost no sediment in the bottle.. really old school a la Bel Air-Marquis D’Aligre. Palate is electric, very classically structured and fresh as a daisy. Nose takes a day to start showing floral and fruit notes and classic st Julien character. Very good, almost great; the aromatics never really soar. Bought at the domaine; Jaugaret is an organic and small production family winery (surrounded by mega châteaux). — 7 days ago
Fruit, fruit and more fruit! — 2 months ago
What a nose. Soy, hoisin, stunning deep cherries, tar, leather, game, feral elements. Chestnuts and dust. So clean. What clarity. Mineral. Soupy cherries. Palate is so Fassy! Fresh as a daisy and so pure. Terrific energy and lovely clearly defined soppy cherry fruit. Long and such goof acid. This is so mature but can last 5-6 more years. Really balanced and engaging. The freshness is off the charts. Just an amazing wine at its apogee.
Update. : cork did crumble and was not as translucent as 2000. Thinking it was off. And after an hour it’s. 9.2 now. Was a 9.5 before it went down to just very good. Don’t age this longer. — 2 months ago
Wow. Fresh as a daisy.
Nose explodes with minerals. So fresh. Very slatey
Palate is green apple with a hint of tropicality. Very mineral. Incredibly fresh. As this opens like crunchy rocks.
Terrific estate trocken. I mean really good.

A leaky cork is always a stomach tightening event, unless… the wine is a German Riesling. I can’t tell you how many seeping, spongy corks have given way to reveal fresh-as-a-daisy wines for me over the years. This number from Schloss Schönborn was a perfect example. It was still greenish gold with incredible honeysuckle and wet pavement aromas, crystalline flavors of Asian pear, mandarin orange and honeysuckle. Zippy acidity, moderate sweetness, just everything you want from this genre. Would be all but impossible to peg at 17 years old if tasted blind. — 22 days ago
