Bastide Miraflors

Cotes Catalanes Vieilles Vignes Syrah-Grenache Blend

Burns on the nose a little bit but well balanced on the palate with smooth tannins. Earthy, spiced, and vanilla notes, fruit takes a back seat here but it’s still an easy sipper. $20 @ LCBO — 6 months ago

Alain Jaume & Fils

Domaine Grand Veneur Les Champauvins Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend 2020

Tim
9.3

Drinking with Mom, Dad, and Emily in France at Alain Jaume! Color is more red with a slight orange tinge. Nose is much sweeter, stewed red fruit with some leather and spice and maybe vanilla? Dry and very round, quite nice. Apparently right on the other side of the road from CNDP. Very good. Very very good. Exceptional Cotes Du Rhone — 5 months ago
