Garys' Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah 2007

Bright ruby with a sweet perfume of cherry cola, cassis, blueberries and a hint of olive tapenade. Brilliant acidity with round lush flavors of blackberries, fresh figs, candies violets, Indian spices and meat juices. The finish was long, smooth and supple with hints of smoke, cinnamon and gravel. Despite a crumbled cork, this wine was seriously fantastic! — 9 days ago

I have always participated since they began more than 10 yrs ago. Of course they sometimes fall short of what I am used to drinking but always interesting & a great deal with freshly opened btls & unlimited pours.

Copain Estate Russian River Picpoul Blanc 2018

This stuff is brilliant. The 2019 is a bit more perfumed, a little more viscous. This 2018, though, is the big winner: light in color, grassy nose, and then lemon rind and brine. Maaaaybe a touch of green apple. This drinks like a Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, and that’s a wonderful thing. — 5 months ago

Hawks Butte Yorkville Highlands Syrah 2014

Big bold but yet elegant, wine is really taking on the earthy characteristics. Big tannins with high acid as well. — 3 months ago

Hawks Butte Vineyard Syrah 2016

Power and restraint. High toned. Red fruit. Olives and some white pepper. Needs long decant at this point. Really killer with this strip steak — 4 months ago
