Marchesi de' Frescobaldi

Giramonte Tenuta di Castiglioni Toscana IGT Super Tuscan Blend 2005

Had on Coravin- would have liked to see how it evolved but magical chocolate licorice leather & tumbleweed. Someone called "chocolate mushroom" and I'm inclined to agree. Velvety and luscious. — 6 years ago

@Stuart good news. your name isn’t showing up on my bar but apparently it goes through when I type it in. So, all is good. I hope that the Bills beat the Stealers tonight. Cheers 🏈

Smith Devereux

Napa Valley Chardonnay

We found this gem of a wine in Scottsbluff, Nebraska at the Tangled Tumbleweed. It is a robust and oaky, crisp and delightful wine. Excellent for Tapas! — 2 years ago

Just a test drive. Has years to go before it should be properly rated. Blackberry, herbs, tumbleweed. Showed nicely late the second night. — 4 years ago

Le Mistral Red Rhone Blend 1999

9.1

Out of Magnum. Rich black plum, cooked rhubarb, ripe black cherries, pomegranate, raspberries, hint of sage, dry tumbleweed, tea, dusty limestone, soft spices, perfect acidity and a full minute finish. Perfect pairing is pulled pork sandwiches top with cole slaw. Sadly, the Phelps brother who once championed this wine doesn't anymore. The vineyards are owned by a Ventana company and it's not the same wine. — 5 years ago
