Austin Hope

Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Austin Hope! 2021 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon!!!!!!!!! Delicious! This amazing wine has a beautiful bouquet that reminds me of a field of fresh lavender and lemongrass! The pallet gives us an amazing black currant, blueberry, coffee bean, as well as some chocolate and Oaky earth-tones. It has a very moderately dry finish. I just went to the winery’s webpage and ordered a case of their different wines. You must check this Hope family winery out. Hopefamilywines.com Excellent!!!!!!!!! — 9 days ago

Pessimist Paso Robles Red Blend

v22. Nice. Soft vanilla, and smoked meat nose. Creamy dark black fruits. Round. Slightly astringent, mocha finish. Enjoyable! — a day ago

Au Bon Climat

Santa Barbara County Chardonnay 2014

2014 drunk in 2024. Who knew this would hold up so well over 10 years? At the 2014 price I stand by my earlier statements that this was the best value American wine. Will need to pick up some later vintages to see if this still holds up. — 16 days ago

Hilltop Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Delectable Wine
9.1

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Hilltop lifts from the glass with a peppery freshness, mixing hints of sage with chalk dust and blackberries. It's soothingly round and supple with ripe red and black fruits underscored by saline minerals as grippy tannins mount toward the close. This finishes structured with medium length, leaving the palate refreshed while maintaining youthful poise. (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2024)

Meiomi

Monterey County Pinot Noir

Good jammy flavor to sip on, fuller body than other Pinot Noirs. Sweeter. Drank in the Escape lounge at CMH with Zack the bartender in July 2024 after Kaitlin O’Hara’s wedding — 12 days ago

Sandhi Wines

Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir

Light to medium garnet/ruby color. Aromas of red berries, wild herbs, baking spices and earth. Blend of strawberry, sour cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, raspberry along with some dark berry fruit on the palate. There are also notes of salami, black tea and dried herbs. Medium bodied but quite concentrated. Long finish includes a hint of graphite. Very “Beaujolais-like” in style. (Carbonic Maceration?) Solid. — a month ago

Isosceles Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2019

Delectable Wine
9.4

Vanilla bean and mocha come together with hints of kirsch and a peppery Cabernet Sauvignon flourish as the 2019 Isosceles forms up in the glass. This is pure elegance, velvety smooth yet energetic, with depths of ripe red and blue fruit that coast across the palate with ease. The Isosceles excels through its acidity, as the mouth waters throughout the long and dramatic finish. Gingery spices and hints of sweet blueberry preserves linger on. Well done. This is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot. (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2024)

Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Deep ruby in color, almost purple; cassis, black cherries, and cedar on the nose; high acidity; high tannins; tastes like black plums, berry jam, and baking spices with a medium finish. Nellie says it's ok, and I like it. We both think it goes well with a steak. — 2 days ago
