Carmelo Patti

Carmelo Patti

Gran Assemblage Vino Tinto Red Blend 2004

Got this from Mr. Patti himself on a trip to Mendoza. He spent a great deal of time talking to us about his wine and what makes Mendoza, Mendoza. Was tremendous and don’t take us long to drink it. — a year ago

Bodega Boutique El Legado

Reserva Syrah 2017

This is one of the best wines I've ever had, if not the best. I've visited El Legado, so maybe I have a bias here. But I'd recommend this wine to anyone. It has a powerfully complex taste that will keep you thinking about it long after you've finished the bottle. I drank this bottle one year after being in El Legado, and it was still perfect. — 2 years ago

Castello di Monsanto

La Chimera Vin Santo del Chianti Classico Trebbiano-Malvasia Blend 1995

1995 Vintage. 15% Alcohol. This time paired with a Cadberry Carmelo Bar. Amazing how the Carmel flavors enhanced each other and the chocolate. — 2 years ago

MICHAEL COOPER DipWSET
9.1

I used to sell a lot of Carmelo Rodero’s wines and am an acquaintance of his and his daughters. They make fantastic wines, I was told that in 2017 they didn’t make this wine because it was such a challenging vintage (frost, hail and extreme summer heat) that the few grapes they had needed to be saved for the crianza and above. It has been a long time since I had last tried this wine and I was very impressed. Pronounced aromas and flavours and a nice fine grained tannins. #qpr #riberadelduero #spain — 2 years ago
