Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

PnP. Solid Napa Cab. Nothing that overtly stood out, but wouldn’t turn a glass down. — 21 days ago

Chappellet

Signature Donn Chappellet Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1998

What a joy to taste well aged, well made Napa Cab. From a tasting of ‘98s from benchmark producers (Phelps, Clos du Val, Burgess) this was a favorite. Soft and velvety texture, very elegant, complex nose, long finish, this wine is what I wish more folks got to experience for the varietal and appellation. There has been a bunch of challenging press lately on Napa and Cab in particular, tasting this will remind us of what we are aiming for in this valley. — a year ago

Very nice blend. Had the 2013 with Kim at 1776. Took some time to open but worth the wait. — 3 years ago

Enveiere Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2002

Forgot about this, found it in the cellar, pulled it out on a whim to have with roasted pork tenderloin with a sherry mustard cream sauce. Absolutely divine. — 2 years ago

1880 Estate Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Franc 2017

I totally understand I opened this before I probably should, but I don’t regret it one but. New World Cab Franc made to absolute perfection. Smell brings a floral, green earth with butter/olive oil. First sip- (pure bliss) blueberry pie and dried lilac. As it sits, you get charred poblano peppers. American Oak really delivers. A truly inspiration wine, with a lot of thought. — 3 years ago
