Quite lovely. Big, bold wine. Dark purple color. Cow shit and dark cherries on the nose. Refined but fairly high alcohol. Very nice QPR. — a month ago

Unico Ribera del Duero Tempranillo Blend 2010

I know I committed infanticide but I wanted to share a special bottle with a favorite cousin who never has an opportunity to drink a wine like this . A powerful , and complex nose of blueberries, florals, and red fruit. On the palate the wine was constantly changing and continuously putting weight on. Deep and concentrated flavors of plums, chocolate , tobacco and licorice that suppressed the wine’s tannic structure. — a month ago

Fantastic. Love this wine! I quit worrying about drinking a bottle too soon. The occasion is more important and you probably picked up nuances and character in the wine you wouldn’t later.

Well said indeed

Feudi di San Gregorio

Greco di Tufo 2020

This beautiful white wine also carries with it a whiff of the sea, much like its cousin, Feudi di San Gregorio’s Falanghina. The stone fruit comes across a little stronger on the nose, but the minerality and salinity fall right in line. This wine shows a less sharp acidity and would seem to be better suited to salad than seafood. It is, however, a delicious sipper. — a month ago
