Unusual pale pomelo color. Muted dried grapefruit, white blossoms, & tangerine essence on nose; on palate long elegant & smooth, this drinks like a good white. Medium bodied, quince, more of the palate fruits, but a resolutely dry approach, & finishes dry. A reminder to myself that the roses I truly enjoy are because they’re really whites, & this is one of them. Screwcap. — 2 years ago
Really lovely blend from top producer in custoza. A lot of innovation going on here with owner hiring 4 consultants. He freezes the Fernanda grape prior to fermentation to maximize the aromatics. Very good and recommended. — 6 years ago

Amedeo 2023, Custoza Superiore DOC – Veneto, Italy 🇮🇹
Overview
A white blend led by Garganega with Trebbiano Toscano, Trebbianello, and Bianca Fernanda from the Custoza zone near Lake Garda. A structured Superiore expression showing more weight and texture than standard Custoza.
Aromas & Flavors
Ripe yellow apple, pear, citrus peel, chamomile, subtle almond, and light savory herbal tones.
Mouthfeel
Medium body. Juicy entry with good freshness. Textured and slightly rustic edges that give personality. Balanced by moderate alcohol (13.5%) and food-friendly structure.
Food Pairings
Lake fish, grilled chicken, risotto with herbs, pasta with olive oil and clams, vegetable tarts.
Verdict
More serious than first impression suggested. A wine that benefits from slowing down and tasting with context. Structured, gastronomic, and representative of traditional Custoza Superiore style.
