Deep ruby/purple color. Just a bit of Petite Verdot blended in. Aromas of black berry/currant, black pepper and wet soil. Palate is full of black cherry/cassis, blueberry, black tea and baking spices. Slight hint of fresh herbs, minerals and vanilla on the very long finish. The tannins are a bit tight right out of the bottle, but do soften with aeration. Powerful but nicely balanced. Excellent aging potential. Thanks for opening this one, Keith S. — 7 months ago
