Stag's Leap Wine Cellars

S.L.V. Block 2C Merlot 2003

Matt Austin
9.3

As far as I can tell this is the last year that Stag's Leap bottled a varietal Merlot from the famed SLV vineyard, the source of the Judgment of Paris winning grapes. It's a shame because this is one of the better CA Merlots I've had. No hurry to drink this one either. — 7 years ago

Next time you are this way, swing by our cabin! And bring all that great wine you are drinking 😄😄. Jk. We have some to choose from in our cellar!

Matthias Müller

Edition MM Mandelstein Spätlese Riesling 2017

A very adictive glass of riesling. Honey with some orange zest bitters. Tropical fruits in the background. Fresh from the cellar (2C warmer) the wine also has lots of minerals and herbs. So perhaps not cool it all the way down on lots of ice. As always with M”uller wines just enough citric type acids to keep it fresh. Even though it is spatlese. — 4 years ago

2C Wines The Senator Red Blend 2013

Sitting in the vineyard enjoying this lush Syrah blend. Red fruit , nice tannins, hints of tobacco. A great everyday wine that is underpriced for the quality 🍷 — 8 years ago
