2013 Scott Paul Pinot Noir Audrey. A lithe, high-toned, gracefully textured and aromatic Pinot that shows off the best version of Oregon's mixed 2013 vintage. The rounded red fruit flavors are kept buoyant by pretty acidity through a long, loam-tinged finish. Highly drinkable now. — 8 years ago
Remarkably fresh, juicy, mid – weight black berry flavors suffused with significant fine tannins buoyed by bright acidity. This is drinking more like an eight-year-old then a 20-year-old. — 8 years ago
This is finally old enough to have unwound and now it shows its true volume and depth. Drinkable now for scads of beautifully ripe fruit, but nowhere near maturity. — 9 years ago
Vivid and lively, with fine, fresh tannins and excellent mid-palate depth. This is a composed and stately wine of restrained power, poised to cellar for years to some. — 8 years ago
2013 Francesco Rinaldi Nebbiolo d'Alba. This wine is not common in the Northwest marketplace, probably because it is highly overpriced for the modest level of quality -- $32 versus much better versions for the mid $20sThere are some vague Italian characteristics here, but the wine lacks the snappy tannins, the vibrant acidity and the rustic, mineral-and-tar driven fruit I want from this category. It's a pass. — 8 years ago

Pallet dry, beautiful acidity, love the texture, balance, and length. This tiny, below-the-radar-producer makes one of the best rieslings in Oregon /the PNW and deserves a spot among the better known brands. My favorite of the vintage — 8 years ago
The 2006 version is an impeccably made Barolo of real class, focus and character. At age 10 the wine is fresh, with beautifully focused, high toned red fruits, backed by considerable fine tannins. As it edges into an intense yet graceful middle age, all of its flavor elements are just starting to integrate, and are playing together very nicely right now. Cleanly made, this world class red is a highly desirable wine. — 8 years ago
This is very open, supple, and shows scads of fruit in a nicely integrated middle age stage. A bitter chocolate hit on the finish unwinds with air. This is nowhere near mature yet, only really becoming drinkable now, and has a long life ahead. One caveat: it's quite ripe and quite oaky so prepare your palate. — 9 years ago

This is a superb Chambolle of considerable fruit density, with a layered middle and a very long finish. The medium-weight tannins have achieved a stage of development where they lend to a supple, round structure, while the overall Wine has notable thrust and verve. This is middle-aged and drinking well, but has a ways to go until maturity. — 8 years ago
