A little disappointing. Is it past its prime? And what does that imply about yours truly (Episcopal Academy Class of 1989)?! Anyway, wine a little flat and lacking in complexity. Next!!! — 9 years ago
Happy 40th, Mr. Caymus!
Not a lot on the nose but toasty vanilla and blue fruits finishing with soft and smooth tannins. First try of a case; looking forward to tasting how this one evolves over time! — 9 years ago

Verite, very yummy. Not a whole lot on the nose for me but great mouthfeel and so long and smooth each taste. A little bit of dark fruit but mostly got toasty oak, and invariably I veritably loved it!!! — 9 years ago
Love the right bank!
Enjoyed with Gruyere and some other cheeses. Shake your bon bons for Le Bon Pasteur!!! — 9 years ago
1999 Heitz Martha's Vineyard. Intoxicating nose of cedar and leather. Medium to full body. Red fruit mixed with secondary flavor cigar box. Not sure I got the famous mint taste. Nice length and finish with soft tannins. Awesome bottle! — 10 years ago
So this wine beat Harlan, Bond, Colgin, Scarecrow in a blind tasting, scoring in the top bracket with Dalla Valle Maya. Wow! Of all those others, I've only had the pleasure of Colgin. And expert taster though I am not, I also found this comparable to that experience. Speaks classic California Cab to me - nice structure of dark red fruit followed by some cigar/tobacco and finishing with long silky tannins. I volunteer for next blind tasting of this against Screaming Eagle, Harlan, et al.!!! — 9 years ago
Me likes.
Tastes great! Less body! Less body! Tastes great!
Nothing to complain about here. Cali-French collaboration. Hybrid vigor. Need to visit Paso soon... — 9 years ago
Dark purple-indigo. Classic Bordeaux nose of damp earth and tobacco. Medium body. Blue and black fruits integrated with wood, tobacco, leather. Soft tannins over long finish. Lovely drinking! — 9 years ago

Nice wine. Enjoyed the lighter body and milder red fruit of this wine. A whiff of leather and tobacco on nose and some earth on the palate. Wouldn't really say any floral quality to this Pinot. If you anthropomorphize this wine, I can see describing her as "elegant" and "soft" and "smooth". But did not achieve "sexy" or "seductive" status for me. Second date? Sure. Why not? — 9 years ago
