Would be a decent $50 bottle of Champagne, so I’m glad I didn’t pay for it. Obviously just a show piece — that is, a wine that’s bought for its price tag and labeling. But, is it worth $300? Not a chance.
Tasting notes: Crisp, tight, small bubbles; even flavor, consistent effervescence from the first glass to the last. Nondescript citrus flavor (lemon-kumquat) throughout. Easy-drinking and definitely quaffable; goes well with a charcuterie or cheese platter. A bubbly that that probably anyone would like, almost like Sprite. — a year ago
So delicious! Ripe blackberries right away, quickly becoming blackberry jam with a lingering, peppery finish. Opened to include in an Old World-style chuck roast for my sweetheart, but I get to indulge in this beauty’s delectable, luscious fruit flavors! — 2 years ago

Brought this for Thanksgiving and drank it with dessert (apple and cherry pies); it stood up and complimented those sweet treats rather perfectly! Then, brought the remaining half-bottle home and enjoyed the smack-in-the-face of dark cherries on the first sip, followed by smoothed tannins from being open for a while. One of my favorite wines to sell and to drink! Always a crowd-pleaser, especially at the $30/bottle price! — a year ago
The smoothest bourbon I’ve tasted to date, completely surprising me with its long, developing finish! Pronounced caramel and toffee on the nose (even whilst just wafting around), with spiced orange and cherry cordial on the finish. Absolutely gorgeous and definitely a new favorite! — 2 years ago
Everything I love about a good, off-dry Riesling!
Softly peachy, honeysuckle on the nose; pretty effervescence tingling the front of the tongue, and a lingering fruit cocktail complete with canned pear, peaches, pineapple flavors that linger and deepen for long minutes!
Easy-drinking and perfect on its own or with spicy foods. YUM!!

Absolutely beautiful wine: Tannic without being overly dry; fruity, without smacking of one fruit or another; balanced and quaffable astride flavorful, spice-heavy Haitian cuisine. Rich cinnamon did not overpower this wine; nor did the spicy heat of added sauces. Nuances of licorice and anise played well with the traditional Haitian ginger and cinnamon of tropical cuisine. I should say it was delightful, as I so rarely enjoy the balance of any wine so much that I drink an entire bottle alone. I highly recommend this Malbec with any tropical Atlantic island cuisine. — 10 months ago
Quite acidic on the nose and finish, but balances out fairly well on the palate amidst light tannins and cherry notes, making the flavor seem more ripe on the end than the initial jammy-ness at the first sip. Some black pepper lingers as the flavors wane. Overall, on its own and before the arrabbiata, I like the silky lightness and this spiciness that calls me to sip again and again, even though I typically like a heartier Montepulciano. #willaddmorewithfood — a year ago
Do you see that hint of pink in the wine as you tilt the glass to take a sip? That’s the Pinot Noir that you taste behind the dry, acidic Chardonnay as it falls upon your palate.
Drink with fish; follow a creamy meal; embrace the bubbly goodness as it quaffs your thirst while you mange upon a rare steak topped with a butter-finished mushroom cream sauce.
A very interesting change from the original (but delicious!) Gruets! — 2 years ago

Gorgeous! Picked up notes of fresh, ripe blackberries on the nose as soon as I opened it, and the blackberries came on strongly with the first sip. Faint tobacco and woodiness led into curbed-but-firm tannins. Crazy-deep viscosity; the legs hung on for long minutes! This definitely had another 4-5 years in it to smooth those tannins out, but it was truly delicious even in 2024. — a month ago
