Quite acidic on the nose and finish, but balances out fairly well on the palate amidst light tannins and cherry notes, making the flavor seem more ripe on the end than the initial jammy-ness at the first sip. Some black pepper lingers as the flavors wane. Overall, on its own and before the arrabbiata, I like the silky lightness and this spiciness that calls me to sip again and again, even though I typically like a heartier Montepulciano. #willaddmorewithfood
