Montepulciano d' Abruzzo is typically a wine that I might order at a restaurant but have little or none cellared at home. Poggio Anima was a pleasant surprise at a local pizzeria. Much more full bodied and smooth than expected. Although great with pizza, it would also be nice wine to just share with friends on the patio.

Beautiful wine to share with friends at L'Hostaria in Aspen. Beautiful nose , long finish, smooth tannins. More brilliant garnet red than expected . Good for years to come if you can get it. — 9 years ago
