Dark fruit, peppery, and a bit of nice leather. Taut tannin, but still very luscious on the palate. Will definitely buy again and let it age more. — 4 years ago
Didn’t have much of a bouquet straight out of the bottle. Left it for an hour and after it opened up, I smelled black cherry, some blueberry and a hint of cassis. Nice tannins, good finish that lingered in the back. This is a very nice, everyday wine that is an excellent value. — 5 years ago
This is drinking beautifully now. Dark cherries, dark chocolate, and pleasant graphite on the nose. Lush, soft tannins that exude elegance as the wine rolls around my tongue. Long and satisfying finish. Looking forward to my second bottle in several years time. — 4 years ago
Cranberry and a bit of vanilla, with tiny hint of pepper, on the nose. Luscious strawberry jam on the palate. Very nice. — 4 years ago
I’ve had a few “fruit bombs” recently and this offering from Vineyard 29 isn’t one of them, thankfully. It was a nice change of pace having a nuanced, complex, and layered experience. The nuance started with the bouquet - very little fruit. Instead, mushrooms, dusty rose, and light cocoa wafted out combined with a little plum. The finish was long and almost “chewable.” Nice acidity and layers of tannin. I will get another bottle to age. I’m expecting it will be excellent. — 5 years ago
Lemon on the nose, tart yet some softness on the palate, and a slight (pleasant) bitterness on the finish. I enjoyed it and it paired nicely with a vegan mac-n-cheese my daughter made. — 4 years ago
Honeydew and citrus; smooth and clean on the palate. No oak, so you smell and taste the grape, not the wood. Great value. — 4 years ago
Refined, yet well defined, nose of dark fruits (black plum, hints of blueberry). Soft and plush in the mouth, but one or two more years in the cellar will soften the tannins even more. Long lingering finish left me very satisfied. — 5 years ago
I usually like Rhone Valley wines, North and South, but this wine didn't hit any buttons for me. The nose was very light, even after letting it breathe for a little while, and the finish was the same. There was nothkng for me to hold on to. — 5 years ago

This is one of my go-to wines for everyday enjoyment or small dinner parties (pre-pandemic, anyway). Cherries, a bit of cranberry, and a splash of leather mix together nicely for the bouquet. Soft and velvety, with a streak of tannin that lengthens the finish. This wine is a good value. — 3 years ago
