Read the reviews on the 2017 and was intrigued. Opened in the morning and sampled throughout day while raking leaves. Finished at dinner. The wine is precise, balanced and interesting. The tannins dominate and are refined, supple and then linger. The fruit is primarily plum with cherry. Tobacco comes a bit later. No clues how this will evolve but. note to self, wait till 2024 or later to rake the leaves again. — 6 months ago
If I could figure out what the label says I might buy more. They were out of domaine out and I tried it in French Caribbean. Clean and tight rose from Provence. Where can I find more in the states? — 7 months ago
Decanted and tasted over 4 hours. The tannins and acidics seemed balanced with the fruit initially but the fruit didn’t stand up. The tastes are dark berries and graphite but one dimensional. I doubt this will get more interesting with more cellaring but it will last. I wouldn’t serve it for guests but nice for a weeknight treat with a steak and salad. — 2 months ago
Shocked. A top notch RRV Pinot. Let it breath a bit. Had this first in their cellar. At home with some air it opened up nicely. Mix of cherries and darker berries with enough structure to think it may age better interestingly. Calling tg tomorrow to order another case. — 6 months ago
Who drinks P Manseng? This is a BA local, SF medal winner that is unique and awesome. PM grapes are small and make sweeter wines. Next time I make Rice Krispie treats teriyaki jerky, this is the call. Great too with funky French cheeses. Very nice wine. — 9 months ago
Favorite Morlet Pinot Noir from our recent tasting. Delicately balanced 2014 Pinot that has years to mature. Great nose. The fruit is a bit tart cherry and base of blue fruit like blackberry and cassis. No complexity has developed yet but I’ll come back in 2-3 years and expect the subtlety to emerge. — 5 months ago
Michael Jordan at his peak. Purebred. Only sorry I didn’t call and have it decanted 12 hours ago. Smooth and effortless. Balanced palate and appropriate fruit. Got better by the minute — 6 months ago
Solid, drinkable beach wine. Medium body. Get a straw — 7 months ago
Meaty amber Bandol with a bite. Not light porch ponder but fantastic with risotto, seafood and fowl. Great transition wine between rose and dinner. — 9 months ago
