Smoky upon opening but after letting it breathe it settled down, tannins too. Very light for a Malbec with some deep fruit flavors. Give it another hour to breathe and it's even smoother and lighter. This is why I originally enjoyed this wine is tried at a bar!! And the price point is ridiculous inexpensive for the quality :)
