2nd wine of the blind tasting organised for me by my wife and kid. Called alsace but wrong varietal (pinot gris). This is so far remote from any German Riesling you could picture, and it's actually not so typical as an alsatian Riesling neither. While blind-folded it called grapefruit and tangerine on the nose and then quite a flat, low-acid acid backbone with a zesty, bitter note in the rear. It felt a bit flabby.
After a few hours there are some strong elder flower notes and a bit of stronger acid drive though it's still rather round and sweet in the mid palate. The finish is rather short with tangy, citrusy notes and a tiny white pepper note. It's OK but it think it would do better with spicy food.

Tangerine, tangerine zest,, some brioche notes (?), some elderflower flower touches too. It's not your typical riesling nose but it's quite interesting and appealing. The palate shows a good acid drive, some nice and pleasing mouthfeel, some tangerine and lemon curd touches, almost a sweet layer in the rear, before a long, rather fresh, tangerine forward finish. It went super well with sushis and especially against a pretty dark and salty soy sauce 👍🏻.
