On opening the wine smells hot and tastes hot. Would be better chilled. After resting open for 20 minutes the wine settled down. It is not as full or rich as the 2009.

I love ripassos. Concentrated raspberry jam on opening, soon settles down and integrates. Jam, metal, on the nose, remains sharp on the palate. Not that complex, but very good.
