Apr 28th, 2024Unusual - a little too thick for me, but good. Smells very fruity. On the first sip, sweeter than expected, like a ripe strawberry. Medium high acid, medium tannin but doesn’t feel grippy at all

Interesting to see the evolution of Valpolicella Superiore - Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso on consecutive nights, which could be followed by a third - Amarone, but some of us need to work tomorrow :)
More concentrated than Valpolicella Superiore, due to second fermentation. Darker cherry notes, med+ body, very smooth, medium finish.
