Interesting blend of traditional Corvina with some Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon added in. Half of the grapes are partially dried in the appasimento style. Beautiful aromas and flavors of dried cherries, prunes, baking spices, coffee and tobacco. Dark purple color, full bodied with velvety tannins. Vibrant acidity. Balanced and fresh. Winner!

Kinda dry, not as fun to drink as I’m used to. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by all my Malbecs.

Color of ruby and purple, quite clear. Nose of vanilla, spice, strawberry and cherry jam, plum, and a bit oak. Nose is smooth and soft. Taste is smooth and grassy, almost no tannins, some sweetness from berries and vanilla, rind like zest, a bit mineral note and pepper too. A bit too light and average (8.8). After sitting for a while, the wine does open up with more taste (9.0).

I forget how much I spent on this wine... but I know it wasn’t much compared to its refined drinkability. I’m going back to buy more. Great Italian value buy. All the notes seemed harmonious with a darker, elegant jam undertone throughout.

Wow, amazing for $13. A baby Amarone doesnt do it justice. Wonderful dark fruit and raisin aromas. Plum, black cherry, raisin, and mushrooms. So so good! Highly recommend!

Wild corvina, super bright, spicy acidity, backdrop of classic valpolicella just fresher.
