2013 Nice #redwine from #galicia which we're not used to seeing as much as the white #albariño #Zarate is a fantastic producer and is dedicated to recuperating #indigenous grapes this is #loureiro which can be found in #vinhoverde but not usually in red wine. Crazy #eucalyptus notes

2013 Medium ruby colour. The nose is clean and youthful, showing pronounced intensity aromas of raspberry, strawberry, liquorice, blackberry and eucalyptus.Dry with a medium(+) well-integrated acidity. It has medium round tannins, medium body and medium(+) intensity flavours with some meaty notes in addition to the aromas perceived in the nose. The finish is medium(+).It is a very good quality wine. The finish is persistent and it has a decent flavour concentration that balances the acidity. On the other hand it could be more complex, however it is a very original wine from a close to extinction variety. Can drink now, but it has enough acidic structure to be kept for 1-2 years, albeit it is unlikely to develop any interesting tertiary flavours.
