Yves Cuilleron a Chavanay
Les Vignes d'A Cote Roussanne
This is a commendable wine from the entry-level portfolio of Northern Rhône superstar Yves Cuilleron. While I prefer the Marsanne, the 2018 Roussanne is rich, creamy and enjoyable on the palate, even if the nose doesn’t offer a great deal. Simple flavours of baked apple, marzipan, beeswax and salted butter combine to make this a good value alternative to Cotes du Rhône that offers interest.
