Yves Cuilleron a Chavanay
Les Vignes d'à Côté Marsanne
Waxy, floral, slightly honeyed but showing wide range. Bright golden color, aromatics of yellow peach, banana, mango and even a bit of citrus. Honeysuckle and wild herbs get in on the game as well. Full bodied on entry but finishing lean and sinewy with great supporting backbone of minerality and very clean acidity. Anything of this quality from a top tier producer is a steal at under $20. Marsanne doubters really need to try this wine.

Jun 20th, 2018Very pale yellow/green; med+ intensity green apple and citrus fruit aromas; dry med acidity med+ bodied moderate finish. Nicely balanced acidity and fruit with a nice finish.

Dec 19th, 2014Amazing stone minerality, anise, peach stone, and almost a bubble gum youngness on the nose. Med+ acidity, stone, unripe peach on the palate. Beautifully restrained.

Sep 27th, 2014I said it the first time I tried this wine and it still holds true 1+ year later...I never thought I could love a 100% Marsanne, but Mr. Cuilleron kills it with this one. Big fruit, but balanced with minerality and restraint.
