Deep in aromatics: herbal tea, cigar box, smoked meats, dark chocolate shavings, crushed limestone, and cherry liquor are all layered throughout. Palate is highlighted by fresh cranberries, with mineral notes bouncing all around. Tannins are integrated but lend to another 3-4 years of maturity of desired. Finishes dry, with a secondary punch of red raspberry juice that lasts. Could not put this one down. Day 2. Vintage 2010.
