Jul 1st, 2017Interesting combination of 50/50 Pinot Noir/Shiraz. Have to go back to Maurice OShea in the Hunter Valley in the 1940s to get this combo. A savoury yet perfumed nose showing spice cherry and some pepper. In the end the purpose is enjoyable current drinking. Short term cellaring but drink now is the best option ie fresh and delicious. My first red from 2016.

Pinaz or Shinoir. Liked it much more than I thought I would on a wintery wet Margaret River night.

Aug 11th, 2016My first red 2016 vintage of 2016! Juicy, dry and extremely gulpable. A young grape that may improve after short term cellaring. But, pretty fab right now if you have hanging around the house.
