Surprisingly bright dark black fruits on the nose and palate. Hint of roasted meats. Touch of anise on the finish...the finish lasts for several minutes. Perfect 21 year old wine. Australia label...brought back to USA in 2000.

22 years young and this convict is still singing. The cab blend has served to soften the edges of what can sometimes be a dominant, gnarly shiraz profile. The nose generates some noise with black cherries, cinnamon, cardamon and leather. The palette is well behaved and linear. It displays a lovely weight and poise, with a piercing, firm finish. Two hour aeration positioned this perfectly. Still has many years ahead of it - glorious.
