Pale to Mid Crimson in colour. Red cherry and a tarry note . 80% whole bunch in the ferment. On the palate red and black cherry (flesh and skins). A fuller style - medium weight + palate. Mornington Peninsula is very good for Pinot Noir and this was the first Pinot to win the prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy for Best One Year old Dry Red at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show. Delectable this is the Single Block Pinot Noir not the Syrah.

Lovely perfume - evidence of whole bunch - Asian spices. Barb who is a keen gardener said “Sweet Pea, Compost Heap and Twigs”. On the palate red cherries and plums - a succulent mouth filling texture. A really good Pinot Noir and the first Pinot to win the Jimmy Watson Trophy at Royal Melbourne in 2013, in controversial circumstances over the Giant Steps entry. Sold out in days after it won “The Jimmy “ - only 3836 bottles made says the label.

Serious Pinot. Dark fruit, structured and balanced. Should have long future.

Enough fruit concentration and structure to cope the 100% use of whole bunches, which adds firm tight tannins, dry herbs and bitterness (perhaps a bit more than my personal taste). Seriou, dark character.

Sooo good!
2/6.75/9.5 = 19.25
Out of 100 = 97
Whatever it costs - you must drink this.
