Nose of; candied & tart red fruits. Black cherries, cherries, strawberry preserves, raspberries, blackberries, hint of black cherry licorice/cola, sweet elegant style spices, faint vanilla, fresh red roses and violets. The palate is round, lush, elegant, full bodied fruits that match the nose with some hints of blue fruits here & there. There's gentle understated baking spices of; clove, nutmeg, cinnamon & vanillin. Delicate, finely crushed rocks, rich, warm, dark soil, rose petals & violets, the faintest, soft, delicate, chalkiness & minerals. The acidity drips over the palate. The finish is round, full, lush fruits that go on and on and on. Beautifully delicate, ripe and smooth. Much like a well made, elegant, warm vintage from Burgundy. The name comes from a tree on the property that is of a place that apparently many people have woo'ed their lovers. ❤️

Earthy dried cherry soy thing. Steely minerality. Great vintage in Central.

Ambitious stuff highlighting tart red berries and toasty oak, all in balance and well made, but at the same time monolithic and dull. Good structure, juicy acidity and pure fruit; it's all here so it'll probably become more interesting in a few years. 88+?

Fine very good fruit in starting nose. Taste develops w time/temp to good but not extraordinary red pinot.

It was ok, was expecting more from a central Otago Pinot. Didn't have as much fruit as some close proximity wines tasted.
