I thought this was mildly disappointing. It lacked the structure and the body of the estate cab, which I think is fabulous in most vintages.

Nov 11th, 2018Made from younger vines, which is noticeable in the tannins; they just aren’t as fine as in the Estate Cab. There’s less elegance here, overall, compared to that wine, but there’s plenty to please the palate anyway.

Nice surprise on a great (but pricey) list. Structure and fruit coming together for a seamless beam of black fruit, dusty finish. Light sweet oak tannins that I suspect were harsh when this was bottled. Long. Sexy aromatics. Will find more of these.
