Wither Hills has always been a very familiar name in my household. Since turning 18, I’ve been a big fan of their Sauvignon Blanc. Which is why recently I thought I’d give their latest 2017 vintage of Pinot Gris a whirl! These guys also produce an ‘Early Light Pinot Gris’ which weighs in at 9.5% ABV compared to this one at 13%.
It’s a crisp lemon lime colour on the eye. Notes of peach, pear, minerality and candied lemon 🍋 come through on the nose. While in the mouth it has a rather voluptuous texture with melon and spicy pear dominating for me. It’s refreshing and extremely moreish.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine #tctastingnotes
