This needed a day open to start drinking well, but after that it’s good going. Nice dark fruit with bay leaf and tobacco - cabernet dominance.

If there ever was a vintage to stock up on, this would be it. 2012 is crazy good right out of the bottle, but evolved throughout the night.

Nothing mind blowing but a solid, affordable red blend from McLaren Vale. 49% Cab, 35% Shiraz, 16% Merlot.

Plush. Full and round across the palate, the blend filling in all the gaps. Some chewiness and mintiness and warmth and ripe fruit and a hint of cocoa. Smooth and easy to enjoy on a winter night, especially with a few years under its belt.

Nice wine. Not much nose, slight dark fruits. Tasting, again dark fruits, berries, just a hint of liquorice on the finish. Smooth, soft red blend. Would i but it again, yes. Did it go well with Stilton and pears, yes it did.
