Smells overripe and tastes alcoholic and almost syrupy, but there is a sense of tactility and transparency which elevates it to another level and makes it appealing.

This was tasty. Good fruit, acidity and balance. I think the varietals for this vintage are a different - maybe they change by the year. The bottle says this one has 40% Zweigelt and 30% Merlot, in addition to Blaufrankisch and Pinot.
