Quiet but very good nose of sour cherry, spice, flowers, a touch of reduction and something faintly like malted milk balls. The palate is where the wine lives, with huge acidity, tremendous tiny-berry concentration, real savor, density and all-red fruit. There is a Burgundy 2023-like chord progression to the fruit, with sweetness building through the mid-palate and a long, energetic finish. Powerful and impactful, almost GG-like in scale, but it lacks the finesse, polish, balance and purity of the 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. Very good, but not one of the great vintages.

Just a brilliant brilliant wine. I cannot believe the value here. Nose is just sick. Deep berry, raspberry, cherry, sour cherry, blueberry, woodshop shavings, violets and other florals and so much more. This has so much stuffing it’s crazy. Extraordinary palate that is at once dense and at once nimble. Unreal sweet fruit and unreal, albeit youthful fruit and astonishing length. Crazy intense and brilliant inner mouth aromas and such complexity. Structure to burn and let’s see where we are in a few hours. Wow.

Just phenomenal. So confectionary and fresh. Insane inner mouth aromas. No formal notes.

Wow. Deep nose and super rich and ripe. Florals and violets. High toned nose and palate is so juicy and velvety and just unreal density and purity. Wow. Big tannins and ripe and so juicy. Super concentrated purple and cherry fruit. Unreal acidity. Wow.

Nose is all mid season red cherries, cherry flower and so so pure. Mulberry, cranberry bog and so much more. Lipstick like intensity and just so focused and clear. Insane nose. Unreal limestone and depth but also it’s like it’s vibrating on its own plain. Wow what a palate. Juicy and structured with just silly good cherry fruit of the early to mid season style and unreal clarity, focus and linearity. Unreal concentration and depth. So stunning and like a squeegee on the palate. Now some violets on the nose and unreal concentration and sorry but light and ethereal. Stunning beyond belief.After air it gets more supple and textured. All red fruit on the palate.

Super QPR. So gorgeous is the fruit here it’s easy to miss the refined structure. Dark cherry & rhubarb notes. So enjoyable & not complicated but not one note either

Astonishing. Black cherry and black cherry flower on the nose. Pungent. Gorgeous spice as well. So clean and detailed. Wow. Palate is just absurd. So juicy and sleek. Elegant tannins and really clingy fruit. Sappy and dense but also a bit truncated and needs air. Palate is blackberry and black cherry. So silky. So impressive. Juicy and so concentrated. Tiny berry fruit explosion and toothsome. Wow. Let’s see where air takes this.

No socks knocked off. Tepid.

Are you kidding me. Insane purity. Wood shavings. Blackberry flower. Dense and pure with great acids. Superb ripe tannins. So pure. Tangy, lifting fruit. Wonderful. Darker fruits than 2019. Schlossberg Pinot is in this for first time. Noble and elite nose. Tiny berry fruit. Explosive. Best ever version.

Lovely nose. Brambly spices and mega cherries. Loads of minerals. Alive and just so aromatic. Seems to be in the zone. Wow. 9.4 nose. So good now. Palate is elegant, sweet and complex with major minerality. Lovely toothsome quality and black cherries on the finish. This is really transforming with age into something essentially German. Sappy and a hint of rusticity make this utterly charming. Long finish. Wonderful wine and value.
