Gorgeous nose. Wide open. Confectionary, superb limestone and wet stones. Some green apple and apricot. Palate is structured and intense with lovely apple and apricot fruit. Long, tangy finish. So pure and wonderful. Outrageous value. Good concentration and sap. Excellent balance. Just a great 1er Cru wine.

Wonderfully fragrant wine with lemon pith, apple, minerals galore and some herbs. Really in a terrific window. Palate has great density and is chock full of minerals and the acid is wonderful and vibrant. Lovely length and purity. Flavors are mostly lemon and apple on the palate. Nose has just the slightest hint of petrol. Really great stuff and drinking at its apogee.

Hugely deep and expressive nose. Lemon, minerals, limestone. Lime zest and lime flesh. Lovely fresh and dried herbs. Super complex. Interesting note of chalkiness. Wow. That’s a 9.3/9.4 nose. Just sickness. Terrific palate. Superb concentration and freshness. Crunchy minerals. Superb texture and density but being nimble and light as a feather. Long, massively mineral finish. The minerality here is compelling. Really long. Wonderful wine and value. Terrific intensity. This is exactly the way a baby GG should be. Superb structure for short term aging but how can one resist?

Nose is all minerals. Like forest air. I love that. Palate is elegant, complex and crunchy as all can. High acidity and lovely freshness and finesse. Long finish gets some pitted apricot and peach flavors. Beautiful texture and mouthfeel. Like you’re sucking on a pit. What an overachiever this is.

I love this Ortsweine. Almost a GG like nose. Complex stones, citrus and stunning fresh air minerality. Gorgeous confectionary aromas. Palate is huge Meyer lemon and lime with insane pithiness and juiciness and just terrific minerality, precision and depth. Awesome texture and crunch and complex minerals on the finish.

Great nose. Confectionary Rheinhessen, White cherries, beautiful clear minerality. Complex with an amazing mouthfeel. Crunchy and long. Roundness but it doesn’t take away from the acid and structure. It’s harmonious.

May be a little more edgy than the Schlossberg 16. More lime than lemon I prefer this over the Schlossberg tonight. Some green notes which are hard to pin down. Plenty of minerals this is a steal!
