Very deep ruby, intense nose of black fruit and earthy or meaty notes, a little herbaceous and steamy, moderately acidic, few round tannins, weak body and short finish. A bit on the jammy side and not much of a punch, but a decent showing from a difficult climate.

My 1st Minnesota wine and my 1st Marquette. A little dry with a dash of pepper. Ends with blackberry and plum!
