Jim Schultze is a fantastic Pinot artist - I opened this as I read they opened a new tasting room http://www.wineberserkers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=103403

Red and dark fruits framed in acid with a touch of toasty oak on the finish.

This was holding up very well. On first pour it was unsurprisingly closed, but it also seemed a touch oxidized. Did a 180° with air though; stewed red fruit, spice rack, sous bois & dried flowers. 👏

Yet another head-spinning production from Windy Oaks. I love it when a Pinot Noir can make me want nothing more than to smell it for an hour without sipping. Leather and limestone consume the bouquet, and it's all balanced out with black cherry, mushrooms, and loamy structure. Beautifully complex, a pleasure to drink.

Extraordinary, in its prime. Beautiful nose, fascinating array of varietal fruit. Robust, balanced, earthy, well integrated tannins. Some sediment, would have benefited from decanting.

Elegant, Burgundian. Light in color but precise in flavor. Paired beautifully with roast duck.

Always a great Pinot! Still has time to age but give some air and it's beautiful right now. Had for our first shabbos dinner as married couple .
