Began as a dream of 2 friends, Ed Selyem & Burt Williams, who pursued weekend winemaking as a hobby in 1979 in a garage in Forestville, CA, and made their first commercial vintage in 1981. A great Zin. Ripe sweet berry fruits with sweet spice. Flavors of sweet blackberry & raspberry, some cacao, with a jolt of black pepper. Tannins a bit rustic that soften quickly. Lingering ending with sweet crisp notes. Pricey but will not disappoint.

The 14 is very concentrated. Ripe, rich, liqueur in style. Black and blue fruit melody. There's some spice, light pepper, loamy moist dark soil, red roses and violets, touch of Worcestershire sauce, nice acidly and good balanced of mixed fruit & earth on the finish.

14.9% ABV Fruitbowl, black raspberry. I haven’t had this one for about 18 months, and it is still drinking in its prime. 28% new oak. Oh yeah, very good!
