William Hill Estate Winery
Central Coast Chardonnay
Straw in color with a golden hue.
Oaky nose with vanilla, cedar, lemons, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, bitter almonds and spices.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity, crisp and refreshing.
Dry on the palate with vanilla, oak, lemons, apples, pears, herbs, spices and white pepper.
Short finish with bitter almonds.
This is a simple California Chardonnay. Good right out of the bottle and drinking nicely now.
Well balanced and refreshing. A bit oaky for my taste, but not offensive at all.
Refreshing when very chilled and a nice wine to have by the pool.
13.8% alcohol by volume.

Not usually a fan of chardonnays, but this one is absolutely delicious. Soft and demi-sweet without buttery flavors.

Aug 30th, 2017Very nice, mellow. Not what you would normally consider for a Chardonnay. Not intrusive yet complex enough to be interesting. Perfect with scampi!
