Mar 7th, 2018This is actually a Dolcetto from Fox Hill Vineyard in Mendocino. Layered spices and dark fruit reminiscent of Anderson Valley Pinot but with half the weight. Add the 11.8 abv and a zippy bite thanks to Carbonic maceration, and this would be wonderful for an evening hanging out on the patio.

A great little bottle of dolcetto. I’d say this actually elevated the grape over most Piedmont blends. There was a striking quality brought on by the carbonic maceration. Definitely recommend.

Fruity and vivacious, almost seems a little sweet, refreshing and very appealing and varietally accurate.
