Dark purple. Plum and cassis cobbler on the nose. Full-bodied palate yields plum, cassis, and blackberry, with a hint of an almost Bordelaise graphite overlay. Medium, velvety tannins and medium acidity also lend a slightly Old World structure. In fact, let's call it a New World blend for the Old World drinker. Like mid-range Margaux but more fruity. Drink now through 2027 (if properly kept).

A very nice and entertaining red blend from Sonoma County. Showing black fruits with vanilla, earth, cedar, leather, chocolates, tobacco, licorice, peppercorn, cola and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry and fruity on the palate with nice complexity.

Nice finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

Still young and would be better in a few years.

Good by itself or with food. Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime.

A blend of 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Cabernet Franc, 22% Petit Verdot, 12% Merlot and 8% Petite Sirah. Aged for 17 months in French Oak barrels.

14.6% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$50.

A nice Bordeaux blend from Knights Valley, in Sonoma County. A little lighter than I expected, but drinks nicely.

Medium-bodied with medium acidity.

Showing black fruits with chocolates, vegetables, earth, bitter herbs, light bell pepper, mocha, vanilla, light wood, spices and tobacco.

Medium finish with soft tannins and bitter almonds. A little bitter for my taste, though.

Might need a couple of years in the bottle to mature, but already very drinkable.

Good by itself or with food. Easy drinking, a nice porch wine and good for parties.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot.

This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Sonoma County.

Spicy and medium bodied with medium acidity.

Showing blueberries, cherries, currants, licorice, oak, earth, light vanilla, spices, peppercorn, chocolates, tobacco and graphite.

Dry on the palate and needs time to open up properly, but good right out of the bottle too.

Tasty and spicy. Good with food or by itself as a sipping wine by the porch.

Would be better in 3 to 7 years.

Sipping Fine Wine

From Knights Valley, in Sonoma County, Deep Ruby with dark berry aromas and herb notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and currants with notes of espresso and cacao. Tight rustic tannins, medium finish ending with leathery oak. Just ok, a bit pricey.
