The above two were to celebrate a lovely evening home with my wife Wendouree Shiraz Mataro2015 was a 9.3 plumpy with blueberry and red apples, white pepper and coriander seeds Smooth, long Hunter cabernets from Lakes Folly 2014 9.4plus you feel the oaka bit, bit it's vibrant with raspberry, red plums, tobacco, cigars box, Long and so silky, but still refreshing

2012 Wendouree Shiraz Mataro looking sharp, great balance, silky texture and an edge of funk! Looks like birth year FilthyGoodVino for G is in fine form! Thanks Tony & Lita!

Not overly "Wendouree" which is a good thing IMO. Some earthy spicy notes with mineral. Medium weight. Has the guts to cellar for a while yet even at 15 years if you like the style. Tasted again on 27 February. Even better than before. Twiggy earthy notes again. Great depth of flavour. A little tar from the Mataro. Excellent wine.
