Oxidation is definitely starting to kick in here, but the complexity of this is stunning. Saffron, curry, hazelnut, dried peach, ginger, deep gold in color, all would indicate a sweet wine, yet in a bizarre twist of events this finishes much drier. Understanding this is a function of age that can be normal in the evolution of an Auslese. Thanks science for making this delicious.

The best Riesling I’ve ever had in my life. We had it for Thanksgiving. It was great with turkey and gravy.

Incredible color - a darker shade of gold. 🍯 Not as sweet as I expected but beautiful nonetheless. Might be peaking now, though...
I’m always so thrilled to drink a wine bottled before I was born, especially a #Riesling (my heart!). 🙉
