Deceptively lean on the entry and mute upon opening. Gives way as it opens to musk melon, fennel bulb, anise, and petrichlor. Seems so dilute from the leanness of the acid, but the mid and finish become generous and full of phenolic and mineral overtones. Finishes with a touch of graphite. This stuff is the Motz!!

This is a different Weiß Burgunder, a little less complex than the Sonnenschein. For now because the wines are so young and difficult to taste
