Ah, Schiava. How I want a grower to plant you in the Willamette Valley so I can vinify you! Strawberries, tobacco, cherry, much rounder than you'd expect from its almost rosé-like color. Fascinating cool-climate red. Move over Pinot Noir.

Jun 11th, 2015Sciaba os new to me. Bright transparent red, almost deep rose in color. Earthy nose, ripe but not overly fruity. Seems low in acid w/ light tannins.

Light as a feather. Shiny, crisp, sparkly even. Wonderful acidity, gentle and delicate. It feels like some juicy white wine dressed in a red superhero costume. :)
